The following audio samples are taken from our first CD Isaak – recorded in 2017 at the former granary called the „Schüttkasten“ at Schloss Primmersdorf. The title was chosen in honour. We played some pieces of our new CD „Muzik fun leztn shtetl“. Inspired by the fate of the chassidic Rabbi Yekusiel Yehuda Halberstam, the Klausenburger Rebbe, we interpreted the traditional Nigun „di chasidim forn tsum rebn“. As if by a wonder Rabbi Halberstam survived the extermination camps of Auschwitz and Dachau. He lived for two years in the camp for „displaced persons“ in Föhrenwald near Munich rebuilding a chassidic community.
A live-recording at our next rehearsal will be inserted here.
This recording features a track from our new CD. Joining us virtually from Kiev are our friends of the Ukrainska Silska Orchestra.
